Susan Lee Hankins

December 4, 1946 ~ August 16, 2022 (age 75)



Susan Lee Hankins, 75 years of age of Windham, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.  Born in Ravenna, Ohio, on December 4, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Mabel (Lorenson) Flitcraft.  She was a life time Windham resident, a graduate of Windham High School in 1965, and a member of St. Michael’s Catholics Church in Windham.  Susan had been employed as a cook at Windham Schools.  An avid reader, she enjoyed taking care of her flowers and her dogs.  A  snowbird, she and Maurice looked forward to spending their winter months in Florida. She had an extensive collection of miniature elephants that she took great pride in.  Susan will also be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  On July 19, 1966 she married  Maurice Hankins who survives at home. Also surviving is her daughter Maurina (Jessie) Collins of Windham, 4 grandchildren-Zachary (Katie) Wagner, Allison (Brandon) Olson, Tyler Collins and Jacob Collins, 1 great-grandchild Stella Olson, her brother Paul (Carol) Flitcraft of Toledo, sister Sandy Pemberton of Windham, brother-in-laws  Reese Hankins and Jack (Dottie) Hankins, and sister-in-law Terrie (Butch) Altiere.  Her brothers, Jack, Don, and Ralph Flitcraft, sisters Dolores Graybill, Linda Steiner, Carol Hurst and brother-in-law Daryle Revels all preceded her in death.  No calling hours or services.  Cremation has been held.  In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Windham Village Schools Food Pantry.  Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, Mantua, Ohio, where her condolences and memories may be viewed at
