Richard M. Rushnok, 54 years of age, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 14, 1967, he was the son of the late Richard T. and Roberta (Kanaval) Rushnok. A longtime Portage County resident, he was a 1985 graduate of Crestwood High School. Formerly employed at Aurora Chrysler, Richard was presently employed as an automotive painter at Gerber Collision in Hudson. Richard enjoyed computer games, day car trips with his wife, and the special trips to Disney. He will always be remembered as a true lover of animals. His four-legged children, Oscar, Felix, and Puggles, and 24 chickens will truly miss his everyday presence. On November 11, 2011, he married Marlene (Ames) Rushnok, who survives at their home. Also surviving are his siblings Ron Rushnok, and Angela Huth, both of Ravenna; grandmother Alexandria Schuster of Strongsville; mother-in-law Marcia Ames, and sister-in-law Mary Ann Moore, both of Mantua; several nieces, nephews, great nephews, and other loving family members. Preceding in death was his brother Russell Rushnok. Visitation will be held Monday March 22, 2021, at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 5:00 P.M.-6:45 P.M., where his funeral service will then begin. Officiating will be Rev. Edward Stafford. Social Distancing And Facial Masks Will Be Observed. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Portage County APL.
