Mitchell A. Sotera, 20 years of age, passed away Saturday June 5, 2021. He was born on March 27, 2001 in Mayfield Hts., Ohio, the son of Darrin and Jennifer (Reese) Sotera. A lifetime resident of Auburn, Mitch was a 2019 graduate of Kenston High School where he was known for his abilities in both football and wrestling. Mitch had just completed his sophomore year at Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia, and was proud to be a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. “Big Country” became his nickname on campus, and along with his infectious smile, Mitch strived to live a life of helping others first. He was a “Little Red Neck” that was there for anyone, especially all children, sticking up for those who needed extra strength and support. He was a very social, and happy young man who would give anyone the shirt off of his back. Mitch’s weight lifting, and power lifting skills were matched by his large heart, and loving personality for all who had the pleasure to know him. Mitch is survived by his mother Jennifer (John White) Reese of Atwater, father Darrin (Bridgitte Kubit) Sotera of Auburn, brother Troy Sotera of Auburn, grandparents Dennis and Donna Sotera of Auburn and Ralph and Gail Reese of Mayfield Hts., and aunts Rebecca Reese and Dana (Tony) Marason.
