Michael W. Brown, 54 years of age, passed away unexpectedly Monday June 15, 2020 at UH-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. Born in Ravenna, Ohio on July 31, 1965, he was the son of Charles “CW” and Marietta (Duvall) Brown. A lifetime Windham resident, Mike was a 1983 graduate of Windham High School, and carried on his love as a Bomber as the 7th. Grade basketball coach at the Windham Jr. High School. He was so proud of his team and constantly pushed them to be their best. He was a loyal employee at Harbison-Walker as a brick layer for 21 years where he worked with some of his best friends and golf buddies. Mike truly enjoyed all sports that included golfing, walking on the beach, his daily bike rides, casino trips, while always placing the times spent with family as the most important ones in his life. On July 4, 1992, Mike married the love of his life Tina (Barnes) Brown who survives at their home. Also surviving is his devoted daughter Bridgette (Rimon Fahmy) Kesling of Charleston, South Carolina; his caring mother Marietta Brown of Windham; dear siblings Betty “Diane” (Robert) Shenal of Rootstown, Cheryl (Patrick) Mulhern of Georgia, Tina (Michael) Spellman of Atwater; loving grandchildren Damien, Levi,Delaney , and great-grandson Maverick; and special friends Donnie, Kimmie and Bub Ridenbaugh, and many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his son Chad Kesling, father Charles Brown, and siblings Judy Lininger and Charles “Chuckie” Brown. Calling hours will be Friday June 19, 2020 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Physical distancing and masks will be necessary. In Lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Windham Basketball Team. Cremation will follow.
