MANTUA
Karen S. Novak, 71 years of age of Mantua, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at University Hospital - Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. Born on February 10, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George and Evelyn (Busch) Post. A Mantua area resident for over 30 years, Karen had graduated from Orange High School and then went on to graduate from Case Western Reserve University. She was employed in the dental industry until her retirement. Karen truly loved all animals, especially horses, having cared for many cats and dogs over the years. She found enjoyment in feeding her outdoor birds. Survivors include her sons Jeffry (Heather) Novak of Hudson and James (Lori) Novak of Maiden, N. Carolina. In addition, she is survived by her sisters Marilyn (Jim) Prusa of Chagrin Falls, and Nancy Cimler (Roger - deceased) of New Berlin, Wisconsin. Her loving grandchildren Colin, Davis, Reid, Hannah, Jaxson, and her 4-legged child “Callie” also survive. She was also a loving aunt to many nephews and nieces. No calling hours. A private family service held at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua is planned with Fr. James Lang officiating. Final resting place is at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township. In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate donations in her name to the Portage County APL.
