Jeffrey Cline

December 27, 1950 ~ October 29, 2021 (age 70)

Jeffrey Carl Cline, 70 years of age, was called home to the loving arms of the Lord on Friday, October 29, 2021. Jeff was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 27, 1950, the son of the late Robert and Lois (Hampton) Cline. Devoted husband to Nancy for 10 years. Proud father of Jennifer Tawney of Kent, and Ryann (Rick) Kuchenbecker of Mantua, and step-father  to John (Suzanne) and Jason (Brenda) Groselle of Hiram, Beth (Bill) Hasty of Stafford, VA. Cherished grandfather of Cole Tawney, Lilly and Olivia Kuchenbecker, Ryder and Marshall Groselle, Magnus, Anderson, Edric, Arthur and Anastasia Hasty. Dear brother of Larry (Carol) and Robin (Patty) Cline, and Candy Young (Deceased). Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jeff served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era from 1970-1975, being stationed at NAS Jacksonville, Sicily, and Rota Spain. After his honorable service in the Navy, he moved back to Mantua and attended Technical College for HVAC. He worked 35 years in the business, retiring from Gardiner Services in 2015. Jeffrey was an active member of the Mantua Jaycee’s for many years. He enjoyed bringing laughter and enjoyment to many through the Haunted Granary, and the Mantua Potato Festival. In 1992 he served as one of the Grand Marshalls in the Potato Festival Parade. Jeff was a strong and prideful man who loved his family to death. He was full of life, and lived for making people laugh with his jokes, sarcasm, and his true “Cline-ism” characteristics.  Jeff was known for being a bit extreme, over the top, or Extra..if he was told not to do something or that he couldn’t do something, that pushed him to reach higher, jump further and have a go big or go home mentality. No more more suffering..just eternal peace, rest and love. Cremation has taken place. A private burial service at Fairview Cemetery, Hiram, Ohio is planned, with Pastor Chad Delaney officiating. Full military honors will be provided  by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard, assisted by members of Mantua American Legion Post No. 193. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 3:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. at Sugar Bush Golf Club, 11186 St.Rt. 88, Garrettsville, Ohio 44231.
