Jean K. Wasielewski, 77 years of age, passed away Wednesday December 9, 2020 at UH-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Jean was born in Buffalo, New York on October 6, 1943, the daughter of the late Robert and Lorayne (Manz) McDougall. Formerly a longtime resident of Richfield, she had been a Mantua area resident the past 21 years. Mrs. Wasielewski graduated from Cuyahoga Community College with her degree in nursing, and was then employed as a registered nurse at University Hospital-Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, retiring in 2000. Earlier in her career, she worked as an usher at the former Coliseum in Richfield. Jean enjoyed quilting, crafting, and adding to her extensive doll collection. In August of 1966, she married Philip R. Wasielewski who survives at their home. Also surviving are her sons Michael (Joyce) Wasielewski of Brooklyn Hts., Ohio, Mark (Sue) Wasielewski of Macedonia, Ohio, and David (Kim) Wasielewski of Ashland, Ohio; her sister Jean Bloger of Winter Gardens, Florida, and 5 grandchildren. No calling hours or services. Cremation has taken place.
