Howard E. Browning, 66 years of age, passed away Wednesday February 17, 2021 at his residence. Born in Madison, West Virginia on January 8, 1955, he was the son of Roscoe D. and Sue (Flannery) Browning. A resident of Palmyra since 1990, he formerly lived in Mantua, and was a 1973 graduate of Crestwood High School. Mr. Browning had been employed at Graphic Packaging in Solon, from where he then retired. He had served with honor in the U.S. Navy. Howard had numerous interests including his compassion for Rescue Horses, and country living, motorcycles, and his collection of Lionel O Gauge, and HO trains. A family man, Howard will always be remembered for his great-grandbabies that he loved so much. Survivors include his children Babette (Mike) Bowser of West Farmington and Jamie Browning (Jimmy) Roesky of Mineral Ridge; mother Sue Vance and brother Steve Browning, both of Shalersville, and brother Bill (Vicki) Vance of Diamond; 3 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. His former wife Barbara Browning also survives at home. His father preceded him in death. Calling hours will be Tuesday February 23, 2021 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, from 5:00 P.M.-6:30 P.M., where a brief service will then begin at 6:30 P.M. Military honors will conclude with the U.S. Navy Honor Guard, assisted by members of Mantua American Legion Post No. 193. A graveside committal will take place on Wednesday February 24, 2021, 2:00 P.M. at Boone Memorial Park, Madison, West Virginia.
