Esther E. Casper, 88 years of age, passed away Sunday July 5, 2020. Born in Twinsburg, Ohio on September 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Weyer) Vaughan. A lifetime Mantua area resident, Mrs. Casper was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mantua. She had been employed as a cashier for Crestwood School District, then at Delta Systems in Streetsboro from where she retired. Mrs. Casper had been an avid bowler for many years, and with her husband they enjoyed going to the horse races at Northfield Park. On September 11, 1957, she married Charles Casper who preceded her in death in 1996. Her siblings Charles and James Vaughn, and Ina Miller also preceded her. Survivors include her son Kenneth Casper of Ravenna, her daughter Connie Parker of Garrettsville; siblings Marion McKinley of Mantua, Dorothy Collier of Hiram and Kathern Mishler of Kent. Her grandchildren Sabrina, Marie, Nikki and Brandon, and great-grandchildren Nora and Isaac also survive. No calling hours. A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday July 19, 2020 at the Mantua Village Park, Pavilion No. 1, from 1:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. Final resting place will be at Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua Township, Ohio.
