Donald Wolff, 91 years of age, passed away Friday May 8, 2020 at his residence. Born in Freedom Township, Ohio on July 10, 1928, he was the son of the late Ernest and Pauline (Dekol) Wolff. Don was a lifetime Hiram resident, a graduate of Freedom High School, and a member of The Hiram Christian Church where he served as a church trustee for many years. His many accomplishments included being owner-operator of Don Wolff Decorators, owner of Marfelt Manor in Garrettsville, and as the gentleman with the friendly smile as the owner of Wolff’s Blueberry Farm. He served his community for many years as a member of the Hiram Township Zoning Board. Don held memberships in Garrettsville Masonic Lodge No. 246, F. & A.M., Crescent Chapter O.E.S., the Holiday Ramblers Recreation Club where he and Esther traveled to every State, as well as Canada and Mexico, meeting new friends, along with long time fellow travelers. On August 7, 1949, he married his beloved wife Esther M. Wolff who preceded him in death on February 5, 2014. He also was preceded by his dear siblings George Wolff and Elsie Willrich. Don is survived by his devoted son and daughter-in-law Denis and Sandy Wolff of Hiram, whose loving care of dad will always be remembered, his cherished grandchildren Frank (Jaclyn), Donald (Amber), and great-grandchildren Owen, Savannah, Lacy and Alexia. Visitation will be at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 13, 2020 with social distancing due to current health conditions. A private funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Chris McCreight officiating. Final resting place will then follow at Fairview Cemetery, Hiram, Ohio. Procession to the cemetery will form at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. for those desiring to pay final respects that could not attend the visitation. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorials in his name are suggested to The Hiram Christian Church, P.O. Box 937, Hiram, Ohio 44234.
