Dixie Lee Nelson, 83 years of age of Streetsboro, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023.  Born on July 28, 1939 in Coshocton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Ruth (Buckmaster) Richards.  A long time resident of Cleveland, Dixie had worked for the City of Cleveland, and had received the Key to the City of Cleveland for her devoted service.  Collecting anything Elvis, and spending time with her family and grand kids were her favorite past times.  On January 4, 1960, she married Vondell Nelson who preceded her in death on May 5, 2020.  Also preceding was her son Ricky Dale Nelson.  Survivors include her children Vondell Donnie (Lisa) Nelson of Aurora, Toni (Robert) Francis of Lakewood, and Janice Babcock of Coshocton, 40 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Green Family Funeral Home and Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail, at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon, where her funeral service will then begin.  Officiating will be Pastor Virgil Elkins.  Final resting place will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua Twp.  Her video tribute, condolences, and memories may be viewed at www.greenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
