Carol L. Jackson, 76 years of age of Mantua, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Carol was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 29, 1945, the daughter of the late Robert and Irene (Vechery) Morgan. Her family moved to the Mantua area when she was 3 years old, where Carol then grew up and was a graduate of Crestwood High School, and a long time member of the Mantua Center Christian Church. A kind, passionate and intelligent lady, she enjoyed her family, friends, laughter and the simple things in life. She truly loved to celebrate summer by traveling to the family cottage in Marblehead with her husband “Dutch” and visiting her daughter and family in Florida. Family meals in the winter, weekends in Aurora with her son and his family also created fond memories. Before departing with friends and family, either in person, or by phone, she always expressed her love and said “Take good care of yourself.” She ended each night with prayer and faithfully attended Mantua Center Christian Church before her health declined. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Dann “Dutch” Jackson at home; her children Kathe (Mike) Kainec of Florida, Dann (Theresa) Jackson of Mantua; grandchildren Clint, Kasey, Danny, and Kenny (Sarah) and great grandchild Bo Jackson. No calling hours or services. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where condolences and memories may be viewed at www.greenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
