Obituary

Beatrice Louise Bossow, 93 years old, of Garrettsville, Ohio, passed into eternity with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 17, 2023.  Beatrice (Bee) was borne to Narvie and Naomi (King) Moss, on December 26, 1929.  They preceded her in death.  Family was important to her.  She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Robert Bossow.  She was the dedicated mother of Lynnette (Dean) Dallmann of Macungie, PA., Glenn (Jenean) Bossow of San Rafael, CA, and Garth (Karen) Bossow of Saratoga, CA, and grandmother to Faith (Dallmann) Towner (Brian) of Lutherville, MD, Todd Dallmann (Lauren) of Allentown, PA, and Becca, Quinn and Grant Bossow of Saratoga, CA, and great-grandmother of Caleb and Boyd Towner of Lutherville, MD.

She proudly grew up in Parkman, Ohio on the Moss Farm, with 7 siblings—Harold (Kathy) Moss of Burton, Gladys Moss Huffman of Warren, and Barbara Moss Thorn of Parkman.  She is survived by her sister-in-law, Delores (Bossow) Reed and brother-in-law, Paul Risko. She was an aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Esther Wolff, Kay Villers, and Karen Risko brother Howard “Butch” Moss, sister-in-law, Elvie “Lee” (Bossow) Roberto, and brothers-in-law Donald Wolff, Donald Villers, Richard Huffman, and Richard Thorn.

“Bee” attended Kent State University and was an integral part of the formation of Bossow Construction—housing the office in their living room and running bids to the various counties across northeast Ohio.  She was a member of the “Freedom Room Mothers” group and Kappa Phi Sorority for over 60 years. Bee was a great cook, loved to decorate her home and enjoyed sharing both. Her incredible gift for line, design and color was demonstrated in many ways. She was a talented floral designer and made and gave away numerous Christmas arrangements.  She had a thriving business of cake decorating for years.  Her fashion design sense was even recognized at a young age when she was a buyer for a woman’s clothing store at age 19.  She thoroughly enjoyed all of God’s wondrous creation, including the change of seasons, and watching and listening to the birds, and butterflies. Her passions also included world travel, collecting artwork, and gems. Bee was a voracious reader from the time she could pick up a book. Bee will always be missed.  Memories of her will be cherished by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 13 at Parkman Church.  Visitation of family and friends begins at 10 AM, the Celebration of Life will be at 11 AM and a luncheon will follow at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Parkman Congregational Church, 18265 Madison Rd., Middlefield, OH 44062.
