Barbara E. Markuszka, 81 years of age, passed away Sunday February 14, 2021 at University Hospital-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. Born in Bedford, Ohio on November 2, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Harlan and Winifred (Brown) Taylor. Barbara grew up in Bainbridge Township, and was a 1958 graduate of Kenston High School. A resident of Auburn Township for many years, she then moved to Aurora in 1974, residing in Streetsboro the past 5 years. She had been employed as a line lead operator at Milbar Corporation in Chagrin Falls retiring after 32 years of service. Barbara enjoyed numerous interests including taking long car rides with her husband and other family members, traveling, spending time at the casinos, reading, and she truly enjoyed times spent maintaining her beautiful gardens. On February 18, 1957, she married Raymond Markuszka who preceded her in death in 2001. A brother Daniel Taylor also preceded her in death. Survivors include her children Dale Markuszka and Lynne (Edward) Boehnlein both of Shalersville, Donna (Ron) Oneal of Streetsboro; brother Thomas (Laura) Taylor of Shalersville; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday February 19, 2021 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 11:00 A.M.-12:00 Noon, where her funeral service will then begin at Noon. Final resting place will then follow at Restland Cemetery, Bainbridge Township, Ohio. Social distancing rules, and the wearing of face masks will be observed.
