CHAGRIN FALLS-AUBURN TWP.
Anthony C. Brodzinski, 93 years of age, longtime resident of Chagrin Falls, and Auburn Township, passed away February 3, 2021 at his residence, after a long and happy life. Born in Adena, Ohio on November 24, 1927, he was the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Figurski) Brodzinski. A 1946 graduate of Franklin High School in New Athens, Ohio, he moved to Cleveland in the 1950’s. Mr. Brodzinski was employed at Cleveland Pneumatic Tool as a machinist, retiring in 1981 after 33 years of faithful service. He met his wife of 55 years, Lucille (Samardge) Brodzinski, whom he married on November 14, 1955, and began their lives together in the Cleveland area. He was a resident of Chagrin Falls, and Auburn Township since 1971, where he loved his gentleman’s farm, gardening, tinkered and built all types of creative answers to farming. He was an avid thoroughbred owner, and racer, and continued to be active until his first stroke in 2018. He also remained a die-hard Cleveland sports fan till the end. Tony was a friend to all, and lovingly shared his skills with everyone. Survivors include his children, Lorie Arena of Jupiter, Florida; Kelie (Henry) Cichoski of Jensen Beach, Florida; and Anthony M. “Micky” (Carrie) Brodzinski, of Auburn Township, who lovingly cared for his dad through a series of strokes. His family also adopted Sue Byler, who was his caretaker until the end. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille in 2010, and his brother Edward “Big Ed” Brodzinski in 1995. He is no longer suffering, and we are so thankful for that. Rest in peace, dad. There are no calling hours or services. Following cremation his final resting place will be at Shadyside Cemetery, Auburn Township. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where condolences and memories may be viewed at www.greenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
