Terrence “ T. “ Kudravy, 75 years of age, passed away Thursday September 5, 2019 at UH-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio following his courageous 15 years battle with cancer, never once giving up. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 13, 1944, he was the son of the late George and Rose (Simak) Kudravy. Terry grew up in the Slavic Village of Cleveland, and was a graduate of South High School. A resident of the Garrettsville area the past 48 years, he was a longtime member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Garrettsville where he faithfully assisted with the Annual Chicken Dinner. Terry also helped out at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Windham cutting the grass, and playing Santa Claus at Christmas. He had been employed at Parker-Hannifin in Ravenna retiring in 2005. Terry served with honor in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam Era, and was a member of Windham American Legion Post No. 674. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Garrettsville. “T.” had a colorful, giving, loving personality, and was there for so many people during his life, never asking for anything in return…he truly will be missed. On July 31, 1970, he married his beloved wife Joan (Novonty) Kudravy who survives at their home. Also surviving are his devoted children Leroy (Anna) Kasunick of Garrettsville, Michael (Jamie) Kasunick of Alliance, Ohio, Lynette (Bill) Monaghan of Norton, Ohio and J.J. (Greg) D’Aurelio of Garrettsville; his dear sister Donna (Gene-deceased) Glasko of Bedford, Ohio; his loving grandchildren Mercedes (Scott), Leighanna, Maxxine, Abbey, Mitchell, Mike and Alex, and great-grandchildren Radio, Trooper, Cameron, Alayna, Aliana, Jayce and Jaxson. His caring 4-legged children KK., Bella, Lady and Gypsy will dearly miss him also. His dear friends Tom and Jayne Nemchek, Sam Laspisa, Dawn Kurtz, Orlando Reyes, Curtis Hasty and Stanley Youbanowski will also miss “ T.”. Terry was preceded in death by his loving daughter Tommi Kudravy, and his dear sisters Kathleen Grivas and Arlene Hasquin. Calling hours will be Monday from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday September 10, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11045 St. Joseph Blvd. Mantua, Ohio 44255. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Officiating will be Rev. James Lang a longtime and caring friend of “T.”. Final resting place will then follow at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township, where members of the U.S. Army Honor Guard Team, assisted by members of Windham American Legion will provide full military honors. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Frederick Marquinez for the compassionate care he provided to Terry.
