Rose B. Hitti, 78 years of age, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2019 at UH-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 11, 1940, she was the loving daughter of the late Thomas and Rose Mason. Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Rose attended and graduated in 1958 from Jane Adams High School. A resident of Shalersville since 1969, she had been employed at Rockwell International in Customer Service where she retired in 2003. Rose had a very active life including as a member of the Streetsboro Welcome Wagon, the Auxiliary of American Legion Post No. 193 in Mantua, and was secretary of the Red Fox Gun Club where her husband was President for many years. She loved gardening, crafts and taking bus tours, and was a Huge Cleveland Indians fan. Her life was one of doing and giving to others as she made Angel ornaments for the girls in her doctor’s office each year, made over 100 baby hats for newborn children and baby blankets for babies at Robinson Memorial Hospital. For many years she was the wife and mother who took care of making much of the clothing for her family. A compassionate, caring, lady whose presence on earth will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved Rose so much. On February 11, 1961, she married her beloved husband John Hitti who preceded her in death on September 28, 2012. Rose is survived by her devoted children Debbie (Bill) Lamb of Ravenna, Darin (Tammy Wright) Hitti of Barberton, Damon (Julia) Hitti of Louisville, Kentucky, and Denise (Mike) Mossor of Kent; her dear siblings Edward (Linda) Klima of Cleveland and Cheryl Green of Cleveland; 4 loving grandchildren Duncan, Abbey, Casey and Mason; caring niece Cheri Lewis and nephew Billy Green. Calling hours will be Monday from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where her funeral service will be held Tuesday September 17, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor Chad Delaney. Final resting place to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Shalersville Township, Ohio.
