Patricia Ann Winemiller, 72 years of age, passed away Friday October 4, 2019 at University Hospital-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 8, 1947. A resident of Garrettsville since 1992, Pat had been a longtime resident of Windham, where she graduated from Windham High School in 1964. Pat was well known as the Police Dispatcher starting her career at Windham Police Department, then service at the Portage County Sheriff’s Office, Streetsboro, Garrettsville, Hiram, Mantua Departments, and at Aurora Police Department where she retired from in 2006. She was a member of F.O.P. # 70 in Ravenna where she often did the cooking for their events. In 2003 she was honored with a Proclamation from Aurora Police Department when her life saving skills were utilized in the saving of a life giving guidance while dispatching until medical helped arrived on the scene. In her spare time she enjoyed gambling and sharing times with family and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband Paul Winemiller in 2001, and a sister Connie Fowler. Surviving are her children Kimberly (Don) Burrows of Mantua, Deborah (James) Thompson of Rootstown, Charlotte (Donnie) Tritch of Massillon, Ohio, and John (Denise) Gray of Kinsman, Ohio; her siblings Donnie (Becky) Dunavant of Toledo, Ohio, Danny (Kelley) Burns of Windham and Paula (Bobby) Brown of Ravenna; her dear companion Henry Brown of Kent, 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. No calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be announced. Final resting place will be private. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
