Ora Campbell, 82 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Wednesday July 11, 2018 in Twinsburg, Ohio. Mrs. Campbell was God’s Gift to Us on July 23, 1935 in Paisley, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie (Phillips) Shimek. She grew up in Pennsylvania, and was a 1953 graduate of Carmichaels High School. A homemaker, and Mantua area resident since 1955, Ora was a member of the Aurora Mennonite Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years at the Cathedral of Tomorrow. Ora was a longtime member of Mystic Chapter O.E.S. presently holding membership in Crescent Chapter O.E.S. in Garrettsville. A lifetime of dedicated service to her Eastern Star colleagues included holding local, regional and state offices and assisting whenever she was called to serve. She and her husband Richard served together, traveling to the different chapters meeting old and new members and maintaining friendships. While Ora enjoyed baking, sewing and gardening, those who knew Ora will forever remember a true lady, whose warmth, beautiful smile and love for family and grandchildren will forever remain as lasting memories. On March 4, 1953, she married her beloved husband Richard Campbell who survives at their home. Also surviving are her devoted children Rick (Jean) Campbell of North Lawrence, Ohio, Robert W. (Connie) Campbell of Las Vegas, Nevada and Vickie (David) Cannon of Kentwood, Michigan; loving grandchildren Matthew, Scott, Robert, Morgan, Tom, and Taylor, and 13 cherished great-grandchildren. Her dear cousins Lois Dieson of Star City, West Virginia, William (Kathleen) Ritenour of Diamond, Ohio, Alberta (Nelson) Balsinger of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio also survive. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. , with O.E.S. services at 5:45 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where visitation will be held on Wednesday July 18, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of her funeral service at 10:30 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor David Martino. Final resting place will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua Township, Ohio.
