Lillian M. Lange

August 6, 1926 ~ January 25, 2019 (age 92)

MANTUA

Lillian M. (Misner) Lange, 92  years of age, passed away Friday January 25, 2019 at Tri-Pointe Hospital in Concord Township, Ohio. Mrs. Lange was born in Millfield, Ohio August 6, 1926, the daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie (Tracy) Misner. A Mantua resident since 1942, she was a graduate of Mantua Village (Crestwood) Schools in 1944 Cum Laude. On March 16, 1945 she married Frank H. Lange, Jr. together raising eight children. Lillian was always a giver, as a Den Mother, Sunday School teacher,and home room Mother at School. She was a member of Portage Faith United Methodist Church since 1942, American Legion Auxiliary Mantua Post No. 193 for 65 years, as well as 8 and 40 a chapter of Cystic Fibrosis. Lillian answered the fire calls for the Mantua-Shalersville Fire Department before 911 in their home and business, and from January 1970 to April 1981 she served as dispatcher as well. She was the founder and member of the MSFD Auxiliary serving in many offices, and was a MSFD Sparkler. Working as a teenager in the Mantua A&P store, later in the family business Lange and Sons Plumbing and Heating, ending her working days at Hayletts Food as a cashier. Lillian is survived by her children William Lange of LeRoy, Ohio, Gerald (Beth) Lange of Atwater, Jack (Jenny) Lange of Mantua, Dennis Lange of Toledo, Michele Ustar of LeRoy, Connie (Harvey) Rager of Newton Falls, Jennifer (Edward) Rogala of Freedom; 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Doris Lange of Massillon, Ohio.  Also surviving are the daughters of Robert Monroe Marilyn, Cora, and Phyllis, special friend Patty (Mishler) Leventry, caregivers Rachal and Barb and many nieces, nephews. A special thank you to the nursing staff at Tri-Pointe Hospital. Preceding her in death was her son Edward Lee Lange, siblings Pearl Misner, Charles Misner, Gladys Greathouse, Clara Shumway, Ceila Markward; her loving companion Robert Monroe; grandchildren Diane and Denny, and Chief Frank H. Lange, Jr. Calling hours will be Thursday January 31, 2019 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. t. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., and on Friday February 1, 2019 from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., where her funeral service will begin at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor Joyce Hoile. Final resting place will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Mantua Village, Ohio.
