Joan Volinski, 76 years of age, passed away Thursday August 23, 2018 in Stow, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Vitanza) Patronete. A Portage County resident the past 50 years, Joan had been employed at Marc’s in Aurora for 20 years retiring in 2008. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mantua. Joan enjoyed flowers, being outdoors, butterflies and collecting. She will forever be remembered for cooking homemade dinners and the love she had for her family and the love they had for her. Survivors include her children Anthony W. (Sandy) Volinski and Michael J. (Janice) Volinski both of North Carolina, and Lisa Leasure of Streetsboro, Ohio; her brother Anthony (Bernice) Patronete of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. On September 2, 1962, she married her husband John Volinski who preceded her in death in 1995. Also preceding were her sons John C. Volinski in 2008, and Richard W. “Rick” Volinski on August 22, 2018. No calling hours. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday September 8, 2018, 9:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mantua with Rev. Edward Stafford officiating.
