Jeffrey Moore, 75 years of age, passed away Monday January 7, 2019 at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 16, 1943, he was the son of the late Acy J. and Eleanore (Butts) Moore. An area resident the past 46 years, Mr. Moore was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mantua. He had been employed at Weldon Tool as a machinist, retiring in 2002 after 36 years of service.Mr. Moore proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Moore enjoyed fishing and working on cars, and was a “Jack of All Trades-Master of None”. He had an unusual sense of humor which his family will always keep in their memories, as well as the love for his wife, children and especially his grandchildren that will never be forgotten. “Papoo” will remain in the hearts of all. On June 10, 1967, he married his beloved wife Barbara (Barry) Moore who survives at their home. Also surviving are his devoted children Bryon (Kaitlin Carey) Moore of Russell Township, Dawn (Steve Yurick) King of New Franklin, Ohio, Kim (Kelly) LaCivita of Ravenna, Brenda (David) Sage of Chardon and Colleen (Dan) Dolan of Hampstead, North Carolina; 10 loving grandchildren and 10 loving great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Ronald and Jerald Moore. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where closing prayers will be said Saturday January 12, 2019 at 9:15 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will then follow at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11045 St. Joseph’s Blvd., Mantua, Ohio 44255 with Rev. Edward Stafford officiating. Final resting place will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Shalersville Township, Ohio with military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard, assisted by members of Mantua American Legion Post No. 193.
