Earl Lewis Johnson, 77 years of age, passed away Wednesday June 27, 2018 at UH-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Sissonville, West Virginia on October 29, 1940, he was the son of the late George P. and Norma (Bailey) Johnson. A resident of the Garrettsville area since 1978, Mr. Johnson had been employed as a die maker at Card Pak in Solon, Ohio from where he then retired. In his younger years hunting and fishing were sports he enjoyed, and gardening, family camping trips were also part of his life, and he loved yard sales. His abilities to fix and repair anything were well known to those who knew him. On December 17, 1960, he married Lucy (Randolph) Johnson who survives. Also surviving are his children Tammy Ziska of Ravenna and Anthony (Candace) Johnson of Naples, Florida; his grandchildren Augie and Blythe, as well as many nieces and nephews. No calling hours. A memorial service will be held Monday July 2, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Grace Episcopal Church, 250 West Cedar Avenue, Ravenna, Ohio 44266 with a time of fellowship to follow. An additional memorial service will be Friday July 6, 2018, 5:00 P.M. at Maranatha Baptist Church in Charleston, West Virginia. Final resting place will be at Comer Cemetery, Advent, West Virginia.
