Donna Mae Zsoldos, 87 years of age, passed away Monday December 10, 2018 at her residence. Born in Mantua Township, Ohio on October 24, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Chris and Lucile (Ames) Dumperth. A lifetime Mantua resident, Donna graduated from Mantua High School in 1950, following which she attended and graduated from Saint Luke’s School of Nursing in 1953. She then carried her nursing career on at Saint Luke’s Hospital and Highland View Hospital, and at Sea World of Ohio as an industrial nurse. Her life included working with her husband John on the family farm in Mantua Township where they shared the duties of running the family business. It was important to Donna that she assist in her community including being a longtime volunteer with the Portage County Blood Mobile, Portage County Board of Elections as a poll worker, and with the Portage County Health Department where she was a valuable asset to Dr. Rupp. The environment around her was of concern, thus she took great pride in sharing and teaching others about the importance of maintaining it. Donna will forever be remembered for the stories she told, her keen sense of humor, and that teaching and sharing knowledge has a true value for all. On June 5, 1953, she married her beloved husband John F. Zsoldos who survives at their home. Also surviving is her devoted daughter Luellen Irmen of Mantua; dear brother Richard (Rose) Dumperth of Jefferson, Ohio; 4 loving grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
