David J. Krupansky, 68 years of age, passed away Thursday September 28, 2017 at his residence. David was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on June 29, 1949, the son of the late John Joseph and Margaret Helen ( Kristoff) Krupansky, Sr.Formerly of Garrettsville and Freedom, he had resided in Windham the past 9 years, and had attended James A. Garfield School. David proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era, and also served during Desert Storm, his service including from 1971-1995, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. A very active member of Windham American Legion Post No. 674, he assisted working in the kitchen, bar tending, and offering a helping hand wherever needed. He enjoyed fishing, the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns, was very knowledgeable about computers, found much pleasure in the art of eating, and watching old movies including TCM. For over 22 years David and Diane Hedge shared their love for each other, and on November 7, 2016, “They made it Official”, uniting in marriage. He is survived by his beloved wife Diane Hedge Krupansky at their home; his devoted children David J. (Lauren Tiller) Krupansky and Michael S. (Robin) Krupansky both of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and M. Paul Hedge of Windham, and Erin M. Long of Twinsburg, Ohio; dear sisters Cynthia (Kenneth) Duvall of Windham, Jennifer Krupansky of Ravenna, Peggy (Chuck) Scarl of Painesville, Ohio; 2 loving grandchildren and special lifelong friend Jeff Conner of Freedom. Preceding him in death was his dear brother John J. Krupansky.Calling hours will be Monday October 2, 2017 from 6:00 P.M.-7:45 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where Rev. Steve Zeigler will conduct a brief service at 7:45 P.M. Full military honors will then be provided by the U.S.Navy Honor Guard Team, assisted by members of Windham Post No. 674.
