MANTUA / FREEDOM TOWNSHIP
Darwin D. McClintock, 78 years of age, joined his Lord and Savior on Monday March 4, 2019 at his residence in Alliance, Ohio. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 7, 1940, the son of the late Edmund (Bob) and Doris (LeRoy) McClintock. He was a proud member of Faith Evangelical Church. A longtime resident of the Mantua and Freedom Twp. areas, he had graduated from Crestwood High School in 1958. A graduate of Max Hayes Trade School, he was a Union carpenter in Cleveland and Portage County, drove truck for Lakeside Sand & Gravel, and operated McClintock Construction in Freedom Twp. for many years. Darwin loved to build things and fishing with his family in Canada in his younger years. He also liked to travel going to Australia and visiting another culture to expand his mind, not letting his vision be a deterrent. His favorite things to do were to spend time with friends and his family. He loved to tell jokes and always had one to tell! Darwin will be deeply missed by his loving children, Kathy (Wade) DeYoung of Ravenna, and Paul (Farrah Kacar) McClintock of Painesville; grandchildren Alex (Shelia), Morgan, Amber and Marissa; great grandchild Natalie; siblings Joyce (Richard) Fenrich of Kinsman and Sandra (Donald) Hagen of Auburn Twp. He was preceded in death by his son Matthew and twin brother Duane. Visitation will be Saturday March 16, 2019, from 2:30 P.M. -3:30 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua with service to begin at 3:30 P.M. with Pastor Leroy Glover officiating.
