Anneliese Williams, 98 years of age, passed away Sunday December 15, 2019. Born in Glatz, Germany on August 7, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Margarete (Strauch) Wolf. Formerly of New Lyme, Ohio, she had lived in Shalersville since 1988. Mrs. Williams was a member of the German American Ladies Club, and Bible Students of Akron. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting and knitting, yet will be remembered by many for walking along Frost Road with her dear friend picking up trash as their part in keeping the area clean. On December 31, 1947, she married Albert J. Williams who preceded her in death on April 29, 2000. Also preceding was 1 grandchild. Survivors include her children Roy (Joyce) Williams of Mantua, Anneliese (Gary) Easton of Jefferson and Margaret (John) Lavisky of Coconut Creek, Florida; her sister Christa Erbe of Germany; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. No calling hours. Cremation has taken place. A service in January of 2020 will be announced at a later date.
