GARRETTSVILLE

Raymond P. Myers, Sr., 64 years of age, passed away Tuesday September 13, 2011 at his residence. Born on September 16, 1946 in Trenton, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Helen E. (Welsh) Myers. A resident of Garrettsville the past 6 years, he formerly was a longtime resident of Troy Township and Burton. Mr. Myers had been employed at Linn Care Home Medical Equipment in Parma in customer service, retiring in 2009. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Viet Nam Era. A man devoted to his family, he found the most enjoyable times being spent with his loving grandchildren and other family members. On July 25, 1970, he married Barbara (Pfleger) Myers who survives at their home. Also surviving is his son Raymond P. (Pam) Myers, Jr. of Stow, daughters Christine (Paul) Zenisek of Parkman, Meredith (Richard) Klemencic and Brooke (Tom) Long both of Burton, sisters Carol (Don) Fine, Lynne(Mike) Banonis, Andrea (Larry) DiCiccio, Fran (Rich) Marshall and Aly(Michael) Perino all of New Jersey and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death on Saturday September 10, 2011 by his mother-in-law June M. Pfleger. A Memorial Service for Mr. Myers will be held Saturday September 17, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua with visitation Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until service time. He is being laid to rest at Troy Township Cemetery with a private family burial.
