Patrick E. Shanley, 47 years of age, passed away Tuesday August 9, 2011 at his residence. Born on May 22, 1964 in Ravenna, Ohio, he was the son of the late James P. and Joella (Hensley) Shanley. Patrick had been employed in manufacturing and was a lifetime Portage County resident. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Patrick enjoyed reading and learning about Irish culture and heritage. Survivors include his siblings Steve Shanley of Kent and Cheryl (Bill) Starcher of Shalersville. He was preceded in death by his brother Russell. No calling hours. Private family services. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
