Madeline Marie Chase, 82 years of age, passed away Wednesday December 28, 2011 at Kensington Care Centre in Aurora, Ohio. Born on November 1, 1929 in Central Falls, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Corinne (Verrault) Roy. Mrs. Chase was was a 25 years resident of Braceville, moving then to Clermont, Florida, following which she resided in both Ocean Springs and Hernando Mississippi, returning to reside in Hiram in 2011. While living in Ohio, she was employed at the Warren Tribune Chronicle  as a computer operator retiring after 20 years of service. She enjoyed trips to various Casinos and the times she spent  with her family. Survivors include her children Marc (Maureen) Metcalfe of Wexford, Pennsylvania, Paul(Gail) Metcalfe of Solon, Ohio, Annette (Scott) Downing of Hiram and Corinne Metcalfe of Columbus, Ohio, her siblings Rev.Fr. Gilles Roy of Peru and Louise LaBrosse of Conninectiuct and her grandchildren Jamie, Joelle, Jordan, Jillian, Marie, Andrew and Tyler. She was preceded in death by her first husband Frank W. Metcalfe in 1990 and her second husband Phillip Chase in 2011 and 2 sisters Jeanine O’Keefe and Lucille Moran. No calling hours. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Chase will be held Saturday January 7, 2012 11:00 A.M. at Friendship Alliance Church, 19126 State Route 44, Auburn Township, Ohio with Mr. Dan Tillett officiating. Mrs. Chase is being laid to rest at Braceville Cemetery with a private family service. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
