NELSON-GARRETTSVILLE

Keith Allen Dean, Sr., 60 years of age, passed away Thursday September 1, 2011 at his residence. Born on August 27, 1951 in Warren, Ohio, he was the son of the late Johnie W. and Inest (Spencer) Dean. A lifetime resident of the Nelson-Garrettsville areas, Keith was a self-employed farmer, and had formerly been employed also at General Motors Lordstown. While he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing poker and hanging out with his friends,  Keith leaves a legacy of teaching his children the ways of the land and the special times he spent with them that included their learning how to fire a B.B. gun at a very early age. Survivors include his children Keith A. ( Paige McPeak) Dean, Jr. and Jamie Dean both of Nelson, Bryce Stewart of Ravenna, Greg Daugherty of Newton Falls and Michelle Dean-Lombarde of Warren,  siblings  David (Gail) Spencer,II, Ed Spencer and Calvin Grant all of Nelson, Robert (Trisha) Dean and Rosalie (Robert) Crews both of Georgia and grandchildren Cameron and Cadience Stewart. Preceded by Mother Inest Spencer, Brother Larry Dean, Sister Brenda Dorsey and Step Father David W. Spencer, Sr. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where  his funeral service will be held Wednesday September 7, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Peter King officiating. Keith will be laid to rest at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township.
