RAVENNA

Elaine Virginia Cicconetti, 93 years of age, passed away Saturday May 14, 2011 at her residence. Born on January 19, 1918 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppi and Anuziata (Norcia) Cicconetti. Formerly of New Philadelphia, she had been a resident of the Ravenna area over 60 years, and had been employed as a cashier at the A&P Grocery Store in Ravenna where she retired after 27 years of service. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia. Elaine loved to cook and enjoyed shopping and reading. Survivors include her sisters Lillian Stone of Ravenna and Jeanette (Gene) Tarulli of New Philadelphia, brother J. Arthur Cicconetti of New Philadelphia, nieces Judy (David) Shafer of Rootstown and Christine (Alex) Graham of Ravenna and nephews Joseph Shafer of Rootstown and Matthew and Jacob Keller both of Ravenna. No calling hours. A graveside funeral service will be Wednesday May 18, 2011 12:30 P.M. at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna with Rev. Michael Garvey of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mantua officiating. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
