Della Workman, 91 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Friday July 12, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Mrs. Workman was God’s Gift to Us on July 2, 1922 in Logan,West Virginia, the daughter of the late Mander and Martha (Canterbury) Hall.Mrs. Workman had been a Mantua area resident the past 60 years, and was a member of the Mantua Country Baptist Church. For 16 years she had been employed as an inspector at Datera Company in Bedford Hts.,Ohio. Cooking, shopping, and reading were some of her pastimes, yet being a loving lady to all of her family will forever be remembered by those who knew her. On August 12, 1938, she married Lenvil Workman, who preceded her in death in 1982. Also preceding was her son Clarence Workman in 1994, her siblings Loma Hall, Pearl Nelson and Mae Spry.Survivors include her children Russell (Peggy) Workman of Shalersville, Carlos (Judy) Workman of Garrettsville, Alice Clay and Mary (Tim) Gould both of Mantua, Lucy (Muncy) Meade of Warren, Ann (Sonny) Tomblin of Shalersville and Molly (Rufus) Johnston of Parma, sisters Betty Fisher of Medina, Stella Thompson of West Virginia and Mabel Hannah of Dayton, 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 7great-great-grandchildren and her beloved purring child “Punkin”. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be held Thursday July 18,2013 at 10:00 with Pastor Murray Bay officiating. Final resting place will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
