Ben Sebor

MIDDLEFIELD - Ben Sebor, 6 years of age, Geauga County Sheriff’s Canine Officer Badge No. 2844-K-9, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, November 12, 2010, in the loving arms of his partner Deputy Brian Sebor.  Ben was born on March 30, 2004. Ben was trained and certified as narcotics, aggression, and tracking officer.  In 2008, he was honored as the top tracking canine officer, and has faithfully served the residents of Geauga County in the field of law enforcement, as well as being involved in community service, having been active with his partner in adult, youth and senior citizen programs. While his passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who have come to know and love him, let his life be an inspiration to not only the present law enforcement  community and residents of Geauga County and surrounding communities, but to future generations. Ben is survived by his devoted partner Deputy Brian Sebor of Middlefield; his other tracking officers Midge, Phantom and Marko of the Geauga County Sherriff’s Department, and all those whose lives he has touched. Deputy Sebor has suggested that should anyone desire to remember Ben in a special way, please consider donations to either the Geauga County Sherriff’s Department Canine Unit, 12450 Merritt Drive, Chardon, Ohio  44024, or to Rescue Village/Geauga Humane Society, 15463 Chillicothe Rd., Novelty, Ohio  44072. Ben has been laid to rest with a private ceremony.  Arrangements were made by the Green Family Home in Mantua, Ohio. His complete obituary, including the “Rainbow Bridge” and personal video tribute will be available to be seen online at www.GreenFamilyFuneralHome.com.
