Thomas F. Tegowski

June 9, 1951 ~ February 9, 2018 (age 66)

PARKMAN

Thomas F. Tegowski, 66 years of age, made his final journey home on Friday February 9, 2018 after fighting many courageous health battles. His passing took place in the comfort of his home with his wife Sandy, and favorite dog, Bear by his side. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 9, 1951, he was the son of the late Frank and Martha (Bodzinski) Tegowski. A graduate of Bedford High School, he then was employed in the receiving department of Seaway Foods in Solon retiring in 2009 after 32 years of service. A resident of the Parkman area the past 20 years, Tom enjoyed playing golf, basketball, bowling, and fishing with many treasured life long friends. He held memberships in KSKJ Lodge # 226 and the LaRenchen Lodge. Friends and family will remember finding Tom often sitting outside watching his grandson’s race around on their 4 Wheelers, always providing them with the best snacks. Tom was adored by his three ornery grandsons, Cody and Andy Kuklisin and Dustin McKean who will forever miss their “Grandpa”. On April 1, 2001, he married his beloved wife  Sandra (Miller) Tegowski, who will always cherish many wonderful memories of their gambling trips, dances, dinners and family vacations. In addition to his wife Sandy who survives at their home, Tom is survived by his daughters Bonnie (Ed) McKean of Ravenna and Barbara (Russell) Kuklisin of Shalersville; siblings Pete Tegowski, Helen Petkoff and Janice (Jim) Lowe; his three grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of State Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where his funeral service will be held Tuesday February 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Final resting place will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township, Ohio.His family would like to sincerely thank his doctors, UH-Geauga Regional Hospital for their support and compassion through this difficult time, and all of the wonderful family and friends that outpoured their love.
