Rosetta J. Kruis, 85 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Saturday June 3, 2017 at her home in Aurora, Ohio. Mrs. Kruis was God’s Gift to Us on October 24, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Silvestro and Angelina (Saetone) Biagi. She was a resident of the Mantua area from 1955 until moving to Aurora in 2007. A graduate of John Adams High School in Cleveland, she then was employed for 29 years at S & M Constructors in Solon. A member of The Church of the Holy Angels, she enjoyed her membership with the Knitting Angels of her church. Her family will forever cherish the memories of mom and dad spending special times together with them at the cottage at Lake Milton. Recently Mrs. Kruis was honored for her dedication, and as founder of the library at Tara of Barrington in Aurora. She will always be remembered for her love of family, and for the love that they had for her. On January 5, 1952, Mrs. Kruis married her devoted husband Richard G. “Dick” Kruis who preceded her in death on November 19, 2005. Also preceding was her loving grandson Phillip Kruis. She is survived by her beloved children Richard J. (Lynn) Kruis of Hiram, John D. (Deborah) Kruis, William R. (Susan) Kruis and James R. (Diane) Kruis all of Mantua, Linda J. (Steve) Groman of Conroe, Texas and Sharon A. Berlin of Muskegon, Michigan; her dear sister Josephine Wetzig of Beverly Hills, Florida, and 15 loving grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday June 8, 2017 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Holy Angels, 18205 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44023, where visitation also will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of the Mass. Officiating will be Fr. Dan Schlegel. Final resting place will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua Township, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hospice of the Western Reserve.
