Richard A. “Ric” Williams, 64 years of age, passed away Wednesday October 4, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Born in Toledo, Ohio on April 14, 1953, he was the son of Charles E. and Mary Ellen (Ruff) Williams. Following graduation from high school in Toledo, he attended Ohio State University. Richard developed a love for music early in his life, and played drums for two different bands. In 1984, he joined “ The Dillard’s” in Branson, Missouri as their drummer. He then played drums for several years for Shoji Tabuchi becoming head of their audio department. He also was head of the audio department for the Osmond Brothers for a period of time. Ric was blessed with perfect pitch, and was involved recording for many Branson artists over his lifetime. A longtime Branson resident where he was a member of Woodlands Hills Family Church, he recently moved to Ravenna. On June 20, 2009, he married Tina ( Miller) Williams who survives at their home. Also surviving is his son Brandon Williams of Branson, his parents Charles and Mary Ellen Williams of Toledo, Ohio; sister Maggie (Randy) Hiszak of Toledo; his in-laws Ray and Sylvia Miller of Ravenna and sister-in laws Lisa (Kevin) Halberg of Highland Hts., Ohio and Tricia (Donnie) Lee of Ravenna. He was preceded in death by his brothers Ronnie Williams and Bobby Alawa. No calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 28, 2017 at 10:30 am at Peace Lutheran Church, 12686 Bass Lake Road, Chardon, Ohio 44024. Donations may be made to Tina Williams at 2619 Buckeye Blvd., Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
