Nicholas C. DeSalvoAugust 9, 1945 ~ February 26, 2017 (age 71)
Nicholas C. “Nick” DeSalvo, 71 years of age, passed away Sunday February 26, 2017 at his residence. Born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania on August 9, 1945, he was the son of the late Anthony P. and Frances A. (Chiarenza) DeSalvo. A lifetime resident of the Windham area, he was a graduate of Windham High School. Mr. DeSalvo had been employed at Metal Processing in Bedford Hts., and was a longtime member of Teamsters Local No. 436. His additional memberships included St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Sons of Italy, and Sons of The American Legion Post # 0674 where he was well known as “The Cook” for their fish fry’s and where he truly loved his friendships with the members and all with whom he came in contact with. His carefree and laid back personality will always be remembered as “ Everybody Loved Nick” He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and and spending time with “His Grand Pups”. Survivors include his devoted daughter Kelly (Greg) Bush of Wintersville, Ohio; dear sisters Lucy (Jon) Jefferies of Stow, Ohio and Mary (Kevin) Wert of Windham and loving grandchildren Alexus, Jadyn and Brennan.His dear brother Edward DeSalvo preceded him in death. Calling hours will be Wednesday March 1, 2017 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday March 2, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 9737 East Center St., Windham, Ohio 44288 with Fr. James Lang officiating. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Final resting place will follow at Windham Township Cemetery.
