Donald Paul Parobek, 84 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Sunday November 12, 2017 in Aurora, Ohio, having gone to Heaven. Donald was God’s Gift to Us on October 7, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio the beloved son of the late Paul G. and Anna (Stoffa) Parobek. Donald was a special needs individual with lots of Love to give. Donald’s parents owned and operated the Parobek Funeral Home on West 14th. Street in Cleveland in 1933, and moved the funeral business to Parma for many years. The business is now maintained by their daughter Carol Krumins. Donald attended Portage Industries in Ravenna for over 25 years. He was loved and cared for by many staff members, van drivers, bus aides and all who loved and looked after him. He was named there as the oldest and most talkative. He loved playing baseball, basketball with Special Olympics and bowling. Donald loved having a broom in his hands to help keeping his room clean and outside. He loved going to church, praying in his own way. He was a former member of Dr. Martin Luther Church in Cleveland, and of His Ministry in Aurora for many years, and now was a member of New Life Fellowship in Chagrin Falls. He is survived by his loving sisters Carol Krumins of Aurora and Loraine (Todd) Spencer of Mantua; niece Lisa (Ronald) Falzini and Mindy (Jeremy) Staples ; nephew John (Adel) Krumins; cousins Ronald Parobek, Beverly (Russ) Copfer, Alan (Kathie) Preston, Gary (Robbyrda) Preston, and Donna Lavdis. He was preceded in death by his aunts Mary Steiner, Helen Preston and Eleanor Velicka. Visitation will be Friday November 17, 2017 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M., where his funeral service will begin at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Douglas Frano of New Life Fellowship officiating and Chaplin Jane Strauss. Final resting place will be at 9:30 A.M. Saturday November 18, 2017 at Lutheran Memorial Park 2447 Center Rd., Hinckley, Ohio 44233.
