David T. Fielding 61 passed in his sleep on Saturday, March 17, 2018. He was the eldest son of David and Elizabeth (Deceased). He leaves behind brothers Jim (Faye) and Christopher (Barbara), and sisters Anne, Kathleen (Perry), Patricia, Frances (Jim) and Rebecca (Scott) and Aunts, Uncles and many nieces and nephews. “Davey” attended St. Philomena’s and St. Ignatius. As a child he was fearless and would ride his bike down ski slopes and sled down tree covered hills. He collected baseball cards and coins. He liked Oreo cookies, beer and cigarettes (not necessarily in that order). He liked The Three Stooges and Frank Sinatra. There was always something going wrong with his car. He didn’t have a lot, but he was generous to a fault. He would joke about talking to his stock broker. He truly lived a life of service whether it was for his country serving honorably as a Medic in the National Guard or at the restaurants where he served food and drinks with a smile and a sense of humor. He loved the Indians and studied the stats every morning after the games. He dressed meticulously. He had a peculiar habit of shaking his watch loose when it stuck to his wrist. He was smart, shy, gentle, funny, kind, and a bit quirky……and he will be missed. Rest High on that Mountain brother. No calling hours. Cremation has been held. Final resting place will be at Aurora City Cemetery where military honors will be observed. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua where condolences and memories may be viewed at www.greenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
