Celeste M. Ziarko, 56 years of age, passed away Friday July 7, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Hts., Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 17, 1960, she was the daughter of James and Joan (Zak) Glavich.Formerly of Ravenna, she had resided in Hiram the past 12 years. Celeste was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, and for the past 17 years had been employed as the Billing Coordinator & Office Manager at Valley Counseling Services Inc. and Family & Community Services Inc. Celeste had a love for her horses, and truly loved competing at all levels of showing. To Celeste it was not only important that she had achieved her own goals, but that she was able to assist others achieve their goals, enjoying every minute that she could help those individuals. She was an active member of the Pinto Horse Association of America (PtHA) , and also sat on the Board of the PtHA of Ohio Association. In most recent years she competed in amateur events with her horse, My Time Now, affectionately known as DORA. Celeste and DORA completed their goal of Reserve Elite Amateur in the nation under the guidance of Stohlman Training Center in 2016, also earning top five and multiple top ten awards at the PtHA World Championship Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Celeste was an expert seamstress, having designed and made her own show clothing. She also found time to tend to her gardening and without a doubt will forever be remembered as a true Lover of all animals. Her love for family, friends, and animals will forever be cherished memories that those who mourn her passing will hold close to their hearts. On June 21, 1997, she married her devoted husband Joseph J. Ziarko who survives at their home. Also surviving is her daughter Jessica England of Ravenna; her step-son Joseph A, Ziarko of Williamsburg, Virginia, step-daughter Melanie E. (Jack Gribben) Ziarko of Percerville, Virginia; mother Joan Klecan of Cleveland; brother Brian (Lisa) Klecan of North Royalton, Ohio and sister Colette (Glen-deceased) Stamler of Independence, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her son Mitch England. Visitation will be Friday July 14, 2017 from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. & 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt 44 (S. of Rt. 422) Mantua, Ohio 44255. A private final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery, Hiram, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family of Celeste would greatly appreciate that donations in her name be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105
