Ann E. Moore, 88 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Friday September 8, 2017 in Ravenna, Ohio. She was God’s Gift to Us on May 25, 1929, in Hiram Rapids, Ohio, the daughter of the Late Will and Lillie (Warner) Rice. Mrs. Moore was a lifetime resident of Hiram Rapids and Garrettsville. She was a Charter Member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mantua where she was both a Sunday school and Bible school teacher. Mrs. Moore began her career in Real Estate with Goodwin Realty in Garrettsville and it extended over a 30 year period. Her volunteer work to assist others was well known, and she was a Girl Scout Leader, member of the RCCA and a teacher’s aide for many years. An avid Cleveland Indians Baseball fan, she also enjoyed reading, and cherished memories of the love she had for her family, and their love for her will remain forever. On December 22, 1946, she married her devoted husband Richard Moore who preceded her in death on May 31, 2016. Also preceding were 6 brothers and 5 sisters. Mrs. Moore is survived by her beloved children Daryl Moore of Garrettsville, Linda (Richard) Hobson and Roxanne (Jeffrey) McCullough both of Mantua, and Cheryl (Dennis) Bird of Uniontown, Ohio; her loving grandchildren Kevin Hobson, Timothy (Andrea) Hobson, Hillary (Thomas) Chenevey and Nicholas Bird, and great-grandchild Hailey Chenevey. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday September 13, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Christ Lutheran Church 10827 Main St. (Rt. 44) Mantua, Ohio 44255, where visitation at church will begin at 10:00 A.M. until service time. Officiating will be Pastor Douglas Riley. Final resting place will be at The Ohio Western reserve National Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow her church service at the church social hall.
